After a frustrating summer of problems with his boat, Minnehaha, Patrick Crawley is at last able to go sailing. After taking the boat to Plymouth in early autumn for repairs it is finally back in working order and he was able to sail back to Weymouth at the weekend. With Chris Reid crewing for him they split the trip in two stopping for a night in Dartmouth and they enjoyed some good sailing both days. He is now hoping to join other Club boats for a pre-Christmas sail round the Bay next week.
Back ashore the Club held a Covid safe Christmas party before breaking for the holiday. With limited numbers members were seated at tables of six for a light buffet supper followed by a fun quiz organised by Social Secretary, Jacqui Crawley. The Club will return on 11 January for a social evening and talks will recommence on Tuesday 18 January when Chris and Tess Reid will give a presentation on their round Britain cruise last summer.
