Last weekend the WPCA opened up the 2022 sailing season with the Fitting Out Supper held at the Piano Bar in Weymouth Pavilion when40 members enjoyed a three course meal with views over Weymouth Bay. President, Sara Lloyd, gave a short address after the meal thanking the Social Secretary, Jacquie Crawley, for organising the event and presenting trophies to John Atkinson and Roy Sanders who were unable to attend the trophy presentation at the AGM the previous week.
Thoughts now turn to sailing and preparations are being made for the first cruise in company organised by cruising officer Chris Reid. This will be a short four day cruise to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight and will be particularly good for those new to cruising. Chris will be in the Clubhouse next Tuesday to answer any questions on the cruise.
