All seats were taken for the WPCA talk by Alison Stephens and Chris Forrest last Tuesday. This well known couple now own a boat in Greece and their talk about their adventures as well as all the problems of buying a boat abroad and dealing with the maintenance was eagerly received. Illustrated with pictures of blue skies and isolated anchorages many members envied Alison and Chris living their dream.
Back to reality and winter work continues for many boat owners with Tuesday evenings being an opportunity to swap ideas and advice and next week the Club will be having a social evening to compare notes. The talks will resume again on 15 February when the Weymouth Harbourmaster, Jamie Joyce, will be visiting the Club.
