The unexpected spell of good weather has tempted WPCA members onto the water over the last week. Nick and Tracie Critchell took advantage of the light winds and took their motorboat “Mojito” down to Brixham enjoying sunshine and sparkling seas and accompanied by dolphins for part of the trip. Paul and Heather Gardner have taken their motorboat, “Stardust” across the Bay to Lulworth while the sailing boats, Iona and Boskip have drifted around the Bay looking for wind but happy to be back on the water.
Back ashore the winter talks programme has resumed and the Clubhouse was packed for Chris and Tess Reid’s interesting and informative talk on their cruise around Britain last year. Next Tuesday John Atkinson will be talking about his trip on board the Brixham Trawler, Pilgrim, and those that have heard John speak before know this will be an amusing talk with lots of anecdotes and information. As always the talk will start at 8.00 p.m. and all local sailors are welcome to attend.
